YR WEEKEND STARTS NOW is a two-hour radio show focused on emerging Brooklyn bands and the upcoming NYC concert calendars. Each Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 4pm, Andy P. Smith (KnifeFight, RIP Bodega) will be showcasing songs by bands playing locally that upcoming weekend. Part concert calendar, part new music bin, each episode of YR WEEKEND STARTS NOW will also include an interview with local musicians and creatives discussing and sharing music.

Although Williamsburg’s new cinema, IndieScreen, is not yet officially open… we just couldn’t wait! On Tuesday, July 27th, 2010, IndieScreen will host the Flick Film Fest.

Join us for the one-night Flick Film Fest showcasing 13 local and international short films as part of a sneak peak at Williamsburg’s IndieScreen.

IndieScreen (285 Kent Ave.), a brand new 7,500 sq. ft. entertainment space with a state-of-the-art 93-seat cinema will open to the public for the one-night-only Flick Film Fest on Tuesday, July 27th.

Doors at 7:30pm. Program 1 screens at 8pm, and Program 2 screens at 9pm.

On Tuesday night, let’s watch films on the big screen… In Williamsburg!
